When this class was developed, I wanted it to be as similar as possible to my week long in-person workshops. I'm pleased it contains the educational, motivational and inspirational elements that I intend to share every time I teach anywhere.
So while the cost of the class is less that most of my workshops, you can also repeat the lessons many times over, you can slow down the content, and you can do it all in the comfort of your own studio. I'm proud of this class and I hope you find it richly rewarding! Joan Tracy Lupanow Thank you, Joan!! The workshop I took with you in Sedona was a huge AaaHaa moment for me!! I have been drawing and painting my whole life but never felt the pure joy that painting can be until that workshop! When you offered the online workshop I was thrilled and it has been an amazing journey for me as I'm discovering the artist I was meant to be!! The content that you share in the online workshop is incredible! I have watched the videos, listened to the audios and read the downloads over and over and I learn something more every time!!I It is like having you right there with me in my studio sharing your knowledge and mentoring me in such a positive, fun and uplifting way! I am truly grateful for you and your workshops they have changed my life and for the first time ever when someone asks what I do, I tell them I'm an artist!! Looking forward to continuing my journey with you and your wonderful workshops! Katherine Lee Joan, your beautiful spirit shines through your art and your teaching. You have given us a wealth of material to continue our own exploration, both in terms of specific skills and poetic inspiration. I will be returning to both for a very long time. I still hope to meet you in person one of these days. Meanwhile, thank you for the continued use of the videos until the end of the month. Most especially thank you for this unforgettable class. Ana Medrano Thank you so much for your very inspiring words and encouragement to develop our own unique way for creating art. You have been a very good advisor and critique of our work and it really enlightens and makes us go forward into the journey of self realization. I do learn from all the comments you make throughout the class. I must admit, I still have a long way to go. Many times I still don't see "it". But I am challenged to learn how to totally quiet the left side of my brain and give more strength to the right side so it shines through my art. Your line and color value lessons for me are the 2 important lessons I will have to learn and implement more. Thank you for including it with the lessons. You have explained it simply and clearly. Easy enough for me to understand and remember to do. Thanks for being a great mentor. Your positive comments and ideas inspire me. It takes a very special person to share a precious artistic talent to those who are willing to learn and improve their art. I am glad to be a part of your class. I am still hoping to get an opportunity to join one of your classes in person. Keep on teaching and being inspired. Your workshops are fabulous!!! Karen ButtwinickI I learned so much in your online painting class. Your videos were full words of wisdom and technical information and your audio lessons were very freeing and inspirational. Mostly, what I loved most was your sense of humor which made the whole class fun and worth doing. Thanks so much! |

Thank you! Your course made a big difference for me. I am able to express myself with confidence and I no longer struggle with what to do when at a standstill. Mary Gilbertson Joan I want to thank you for opening my eyes to the possibilities and finding something within myself. It is like getting a foot in the door to an endless world which at my age didn’t come too soon. Many thanks and keep safe, you have much to offer. Hilary Hatfield Joan you have been inspirational and I have been awakened to experimenting with new techniques, some of which, have resulted in thrilling results! The phrase you brought to our attention “I want my canvas to take me to a place I’ve never been” hit the mark for me. I’m sue your ears must burn as I sing your praises to friends so often! A very big thank you and let’s hope this year will be a big improvement in many ways! Click HERE to read Jim's story Julie Dunleavy Thank you for the wonderful online class. While I didn't post, I did do all the exercises, developed paintings I'm pleased with, freed up a lot, and appreciated all your audios, handouts and videos. Your personal reflections also resonated deeply with me. Plus, I love your paintings and enjoyed seeing your journey over time. Karen ButtwinickI I learned so much in your online painting class. Peg Watkins After taking your class, in the fall of 2017, I was pleased to find the option for your online class. I felt the videos, audio lessons, handouts were a great follow up to the in-person class. I will never again look at a blank canvas and think “now what”? I turn on the bossy pants audio to get started and after about 10-20 minutes I find I am no longer listening to you, but have find a path of my own to follow. Your willingness to share (your talents, your humor, your life stories) is greatly appreciated. Denette This course has meant so much to me. I feel I’m on my way to a freedom (the Key) with painting creatively. It is actually surprising! It is certainly possible to overcome authoritarian approaches even at my older age. But if I get stuck I just might pop up in another of your online classes. Thank you so much for being a kind, compassionate, and giving teacher with a great sense of humor. I feel playful too!
